The history of the castle: In the second half of the 16th century a member of the Old Catholic nobility Vaclav Haugvic began rebuilding Linhartovy fortress into a Renaissance residence. From then forms preserve the original layout with a closed inner courtyard, defensive towers, and in particular the cellar vaults. Fragments remained well preserved sgraffito plaster on the tower. The new owners of Sedlničtí Choltic began with a general reconstruction of the Baroque style. At the castle has been established at the time an ornamental garden in the French style.
